    Memberships & Access

A membership is required to read
All chapters on this site are locked behind a membership. There are no free chapters here — if you’re looking for a preview, the author maintains a separate site with publicly available chapters.
Signing up means choosing a membership
There is no separate “register” button. To create an account, navigate to Memberships in the top menu and choose the plan that works for you. Completing the sign-up process creates your account at the same time.
    Different memberships unlock different chapters
Chapters are grouped by membership tier — which chapters you can access depends on the plan you’re subscribed to. The novel page shows which tier each chapter belongs to so you know exactly what you’re getting before you commit.
What happens when you hit a locked chapter
If you try to open a chapter your current membership doesn’t cover, you’ll see a notice explaining which membership is needed. Follow the link in that notice to upgrade to the right tier.
    Locked chapters are still listed
You can always see the full chapter list on a novel’s page — locked chapters appear with a 🔒 icon so you always know they’re there and which membership unlocks them.
    Manage or cancel your membership
Log in and go to Membership Account in the top menu to view your active plan, renewal date, and billing details. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your membership from there at any time.
Note: If a chapter you could previously read is now locked, your membership may have expired. Head to Membership Account to check your status and renew.

    Finding Novels

    Browse via the Novels menu
Click Novels in the top navigation bar to see all available novels. You can filter by genre, status (ongoing, completed, hiatus), and more.
Check a novel’s page before diving in
Each novel has its own page with a summary, tags, content warnings, word count, and chapter list. Scroll down to see all chapters in order before you start reading.
    Use content warnings
Novels with mature or sensitive content are tagged accordingly. These are shown prominently on the novel page. You may need to confirm you’re okay with the content before proceeding.

    Reading Chapters

    Navigate between chapters
Use the ‹ Prev and Next › arrow buttons at the bottom of a chapter to move through the novel. You can also use your keyboard’s and arrow keys.
    Jump to any chapter
Click the chapter title in the top bar or use the chapter list on the novel page to jump directly to a specific chapter without navigating one by one.
    Mark chapters as read
Logged-in readers can click the ✓ Checkmark button on a chapter to mark it as read. Checked chapters are visually flagged in the novel’s chapter list so you always know where you left off.
    Read footnotes & author notes
Underlined terms or superscript numbers in the text are footnotes — hover over them or tap them to read the note without leaving the page. Author notes appear at the top or bottom of the chapter.
Note on older chapters: Some earlier chapters may show extra « Previous, TOC, and Next » buttons inside the chapter text itself — these are a leftover from the previous site theme. They still work, but they’ll be removed gradually as chapters are updated over time. The native navigation buttons at the top and bottom of the page are always the most reliable way to move between chapters.

    Following & Subscribing

    Follow a novel
On any novel page, click the Follow button to add it to your reading list. Followed novels show up in your account dashboard so you can find them quickly.
    Subscribe for update alerts
Click Subscribe on a novel page to get notified whenever a new chapter is posted. Notifications appear in your account notification bell — you won’t miss an update.
    Difference between Follow and Subscribe
Following saves a novel to your list. Subscribing sends you a notification when it updates. You can do one or both — they’re independent of each other.
Tip: Check the Update Calendar on the homepage to see upcoming scheduled chapters at a glance — even without a membership.

    Bookmarks

Set a bookmark anywhere in a chapter
Click the 🔖 Bookmark button while reading to save your exact position in that chapter. Next time you return, the site will offer to scroll you right back to where you were.
Bookmarks are saved in your browser
Bookmarks are stored locally in your browser, so they work even on free chapters without a membership. However, they won’t transfer if you switch to a different browser or device. For cross-device saving, log in with your membership account. Works on free chapters
    View all your bookmarks
Go to your account page and find the Bookmarks section, or look for the bookmark icon in the site’s top navigation to see a list of everything you’ve bookmarked.
Note: If you clear your browser’s cookies or site data, locally saved bookmarks may be lost. Logging in with your membership account syncs them safely across sessions.

    Your Account

Your account is created through membership sign-up
There is no standalone registration form. When you sign up for any membership plan via the Memberships page, your account is created automatically as part of the process.
    Log in and out
Click Log In in the top navigation and enter your email and password. To log out, click your username or avatar in the top bar and select Log Out.
Profile Settings — your reader profile
The Profile Settings page is powered by Fictioneer. This is where you manage your reader identity — avatar, display name, bio, content preferences, followed novels, read history, and notification settings. It also houses several sub-sections: Bookmarks, Bookshelf, Collections, and Recommendations.
    Membership Account — your subscription
The Membership Account page is powered by MemberPress. This is where you manage everything billing-related — your active plan, renewal date, payment method, and subscription history. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your membership here.
    Your reading history
The site keeps track of which chapters you’ve marked as read. Visit Profile Settings to see your full reading history, or jump back into any novel right where the checkmarks stopped.
Note: Profile Settings and Membership Account are two separate pages. If you’re looking to change your password or billing info, that’s in Membership Account. If you’re looking to change your avatar or reading preferences, that’s in Profile Settings.

    Bookmarks — Profile Settings

    What are Bookmarks?
Bookmarks save your exact reading position within a chapter — so when you return to a novel, you can jump right back to the paragraph you left off on rather than hunting through the page.
    Setting a bookmark
While reading, click the 🔖 bookmark icon in the reader toolbar. A small indicator will confirm it’s been saved. You can update it any time by clicking the icon again at your new position.
    Viewing and managing your bookmarks
Head to Profile Settings → Bookmarks to see all your saved positions across every novel. Click any bookmark to jump straight back to that spot.
Note: Bookmarks are saved to your account when you’re logged in, so they carry across sessions. If you bookmark while logged out, the position is saved locally in your browser only.

    Bookshelf — Profile Settings

    What is the Bookshelf?
The Bookshelf is your personal reading list — a collection of all the novels you’ve followed. It gives you a quick overview of everything you’re keeping track of in one place.
    How novels get added
A novel appears on your Bookshelf automatically when you click the Follow button on its novel page. To remove it, unfollow the novel from the novel page or from within your Bookshelf.
    Accessing your Bookshelf
Go to Profile Settings → Bookshelf to browse all your followed novels, see their update status at a glance, and quickly navigate to any of them.

    Collections — Profile Settings

    What are Collections?
Collections let you group novels or chapters into custom curated lists — think of them like playlists but for reading. You can create a collection for any theme, genre, mood, or purpose you like.
    Creating and managing Collections
Head to Profile Settings → Collections to create a new collection, give it a name and description, and start adding novels to it. Collections can be kept private or shared with other readers.
    Adding to a Collection
You can add a novel to one of your collections directly from its novel page — look for the collection option near the Follow and Subscribe buttons.

    Recommendations — Profile Settings

    What are Recommendations?
Recommendations is a space where you can suggest novels — from this site or elsewhere — to other readers. It’s a great way to share stories you’ve loved or point people toward reads that pair well with the novels here.
    Submitting a Recommendation
Go to Profile Settings → Recommendations to add a recommendation. You can include a title, a link, and a short note explaining why you’re recommending it.
    Browsing Recommendations
Reader recommendations are visible to everyone on the site — so even if you’re just looking for your next read, it’s worth checking what others have suggested.

    Site Settings

    Opening Site Settings
Click the 🛠️ gear icon in the top navigation bar to open the Site Settings panel. These settings apply across the whole site and are saved per-browser — you only need to set them once per device.
    Toggle features on or off
The panel has a row of checkboxes letting you enable or disable individual features to boost performance or reduce visual clutter. Options include: Scrolling (sticky) navigation bar, Background textures, Masks and polygons, Chapter progress bar, Cover images, Taxonomies, Text shadows, and Minimalist mode. Note that some options may not be available depending on your device.
    Font weight
Below the checkboxes is a Font Weight dropdown. If the default text feels too thin or too heavy on your screen, try switching to a lighter or bolder weight for easier reading.
    Colour sliders
At the bottom of the panel are four sliders for fine-tuning the site’s colour rendering on your screen — these control hue, saturation, brightness, and contrast. Dragging them all the way left resets to default. Most readers won’t need to touch these, but they’re handy if the default colours don’t look right on your display.
Tip: If something on the site looks off or slow, try toggling Minimalist mode on — it strips away decorative elements and can noticeably improve performance on older devices.

    Formatting

    Opening the Formatting panel
While reading a chapter, look for the T Formatting button in the reader toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Click it to open the Formatting panel. All changes apply instantly as you adjust them.
    Quick font size buttons
Next to the Formatting button you’ll see three controls: to decrease, + to increase, and a square button in the middle to reset the font size back to default — without needing to open the full panel.
    Sliders inside the panel
The Formatting panel has a set of sliders for fine-tuning your reading experience: Contrast, Saturation, Content width (default 1200), Font size (default 100), Letter spacing, Line height (default 1.7), Paragraph spacing (default 1.5), and two additional sliders for further refinements. Each slider has a number on the right showing the current value.
Font, colour scheme, and font weight
Below the sliders are three dropdowns: one for Font (e.g. Roboto Serif), one for Colour scheme (e.g. Tinted), and one for Font Weight. Use the arrow buttons beside the font and colour scheme dropdowns to cycle through options quickly.
    Icon row at the bottom
At the very bottom of the panel is a row of icons for quick toggles — things like paragraph indent style, text alignment, and other reading comfort options. Hover over each icon to see what it does.
Tip: Formatting preferences are saved per-browser, not per-account. If you switch devices or clear your browser data, you’ll want to set them again.
