    Description:

    Synopsis I

The young county princess1 Xie Miao and Ling Cheng, the sole daughter of a family of generals, had known each other since childhood and were as close as sisters.

Yet, Xie Miao had been frail and sickly since birth. Countless imperial physicians had declared she wouldn’t survive past her coming-of-age ceremony2.

Ling Cheng’s greatest wish was for her to be safe, healthy, and happy.

In the jianghu3, there was a place known as the Longevity Valley. Rumor had it that a divine physician resided there, capable of raising the dead and bringing flesh back to bare bones.

On that day, the young Xie Miao was sent to the Longevity Valley to seek medical aid, and Ling Cheng accompanied her, walking with her mile after mile.

By the time Ling Cheng returned to the capital, the political winds had shifted drastically. Her father had been falsely accused of rebellion, imprisoned under wrongful charges, and her entire family executed.

Only Ling Cheng had narrowly escaped the catastrophe, vanishing without a trace from then on.

Xie Miao’s greatest wish was for her to remain safe and unharmed.

Years later, the young divine physician Xie Yuanjue, who had just stepped into the martial world, and the solitary saber-wielder Ling Suihan, bent on revenge, crossed paths once again in the mortal realm4 after many twists and turns, finding deep understanding in each other.

Neither of them could have imagined that the other was the very childhood friend they had held dear for all these years.

    Synopsis II

During the prosperous reign of the Great Chong, songs and dances filled the peaceful air, yet undercurrents surged beneath the bustling splendor.

In the Wuri Ward5 of Chang’an, four women of vastly different backgrounds, each harboring her own secrets, coincidentally moved into a dilapidated courtyard known as the Tanhua Pavilion6.

Though full of suspicion and doubt when they first met, the four women came to entrust their trust and their lives to one another amidst waves of conspiracies and schemes.

They even made a name for themselves in the martial world, earning a refined title from the people of the land:

—”Phoenix, Dragon Maiden, Guanyin, and Yama7.”

Yet, just after they opened their hearts to one another, just as they began to treat the Tanhua Pavilion as their shared home…

A storm destined to shake the world quietly closed in.
